“Vivartana Ventures is an organization of a group of Resident and Non-Resident Indians felt the need to transform the societal infrastructure in India to produce globally competent talent. The organization launched a competition to the students of architecture an open competition to design the second phase of Vivartana High International School, Kelambakkam, Chennai.”

“The competition was open for colleges across the Architectural institutions in Chennai. The competition was open for colleges across the Architectural institutions in Chennai. The design competition was conducted in two stages – The first stage of Conceptual Stage where 38 entries from the college were submitted and ten were shortlisted for the second stage. The second stage of the competition was a detailed presentation of the shortlisted entries and the best three were selected.”

Brief

The concept shall incorporate the basic ideals of — “Vivartana — Transformation” The environment provided will strive to attain the highest ideals of Sustainability to provide a nurturing environment for the transformation of Children to responsible Indian citizens for the World. The design shall encompass the minimum requirements of the IGCSE / School building as per building code. The Building through its Architecture and Design would require to strive to be a landmark with the design speaking for the principles of the school. The shortlisted entries are to come up with a presentation for the jury in the form of sheets, PPT, and Physical & 3D models. The list of requirements is discussed in detail below. The basic requirement for the presentation are Sheets explaining their concept and design, physical model & 3D model of the design.
