Architects still need a workspace – Prof. Christopher Charles Benninger view

The current pandemic situation has taught us to work from home and we have survived. Do you think architects still need a workspace that has all the overheads and maintenance?

Answer From Prof. Christopher Charles Benninger :

Initially, when it is your firm it’s ok to work from your apartment such as a 2BHK one in which one of them is being exclusively used for your practices.   Additionally, your studio must be out of distractions. But when your clients grow like when it crosses more than 6 or when you people join your firm it’s better to have a professional workspace. Clients will feel more connected when they talk to you directly and the picture of your workspace, culture will all give them the idea of your work nature. It also acts as your Branding Element.  You can also go for contract-based employment like ok do this job for me and I’ll pay you this much. So it’s a both yes and no for me.
