This Teacher’s Conclave aims to be a reflective workshop where we will work on our teaching orientation and abilities. It will be both an intense inquiry as well as a collaborative working session. We hope to come away from the workshop after initiating a process that would be the background of our participation in architectural education.
We will inquire into :
How do we reorient our teaching-learning programmes to seriously work on the basis that all phenomena in the world are interconnected and that therefore all our actions, including architecture will have an effect on, and be affected by the world around us? How will we therefore learn to imagine space and place? How will we therefore learn to consider material phenomena (including our own bodies) ? How will this affect our ways of making things ? Will all these understandings only remain cerebral and intellectual, or will they transform our stance towards reality? How ?
